Confetti has only been out for two months but, now a member down, Little Mix aren’t hanging around when it comes to releasing more music.

With Sweet Melody finally at No1 where it belongs, Leigh-Anne Pinnock has told The Sun that more material is en route.

“We have new music coming very soon,” said she. “We’re working on something really exciting that will be out this spring, and can’t wait for you all to hear it.”

Speaking of Sweet Melody (which, it seems, was offered to several other artists first), Perrie Edwards raved: This No1 is so special because the fans really fought for it. They’ve been downloading and streaming all week and we love that.

“As a song, Sweet Melody has built and built over the last few months, so it’s great for it finally to be at No1.”

The track’s 11-week climb to the summit came after the mass exodus of more than 50 Christmas songs from the UK Top 100; clearing the way for some ~regular hits to regain traction.

Confetti also hopped back up to No3 on the album chart, while its 2018 predecessor LM5 is now less than 1,000 copies away from going Platinum. More chart nerdgasms here.
