Ryn Weaver officially enters UK singles chart for the first time

The midweek data said she was on course to do it, and she has ?

Ryn Weaver has officially entered the UK singles chart for the first time; cracking the top half of the Top 100 with Pierre – a track from her underrated 2015 album The Fool.

The song soars in at No50 after gaining popularity on TikTok – and according to MusicWeek, it notched up the equivalent of 6,944 sales.

The song isn’t on the separate downloads-only chart, so it’s safe to assume that the vast majority of that number came from streams.

Now if TikTok could see its way to giving Promises a similarly massive resurgence, I’d really appreciate it.

Elsewhere on this week’s chart, Olivia Rodrigo has managed an eighth (eighth!!) week at No1 with Drivers License, and the new Joel Corry x RAYE x David Guetta banger has become this week’s highest new entry: Bed debuts at No20.
