Ariana Grande has released her deluxe edition of Positions, complete with a handful of new songs and the recent Doja Cat and Megan Thee Stallion-bolstered remix of 34+35.

Writer and producer-wise, it’s a similar team to the rest of the album: Victoria Monét, Tayla Parx, Tommy Brown etcetera etcetera… and the songs are all v good! They very much make sense within the broader vibe of Positions, and they’re also all extremely short.

Anyway my favourite of the new lot is Test Drive; which opens with some lush keys before giving way to a peppy lil’ song (lil’ being the key word there: it’s barely two minutes long) about jumping head-first into a new romance. I left it off today’s New Music Friday round-up because I’m trying to keep that to singles-only, but here it is.
