Louise‘s new album delay may have cast a DARK, DARK SHADOW over Q4, but she has at least gifted us with another new song to ease the pain.

Breaking Back Together follows the exceptional trilogy of Stretch (one of the best of the year? Yes ma’am!), Small Talk and Lead Me On – and while it’s not quite as brilliant as those, it’s another solid offering from 2019’s most exciting comeback campaign.

The vocals are lush, the production’s decent, and as another teaser for the Heavy Love album (now due January) it certainly keeps the hype alive.

At least there’s a new Des’ree album out in October now? Swings and roundabouts.
