100 songs of the decade: Do You Think Of Me – Misha B

100 songs of the decade: Do You Think Of Me – Misha B

Written by: Misha B, Ben Kohn, Tom Barnes, Pete Kelleher and Ayak Thiik
Produced by: TMS
UK release: November 2012
UK chart peak: 9

Misha B‘s only Top 10 single, Do You Think Of Me is a masterclass in midtempo powerhouse semi-balladry. TMS, who were doing similarly great things with Little Mix at the time, build with steadily bubbling verses and bridges towards a huge chorus, and Misha’s heartfelt personal lyrics are sung with the same gusto that made her an under-rated superstar on The X Factor. I mean the TALENT!

In an alternate timeline, she became one of the world’s biggest popstars and is currently on her first Greatest Hits tour. I hope one day she gets another shot.

  • I’ll be writing about my favourite 100 pop songs of the decade; one a day for the last 100 days of 2019. They’re in no particular order, except the Top 10 – which will (obviously) come in late December.
