The Kelly Clarkson Show gets big ratings and I guess good things DO happen to good people

Kelly Clarkson’s US chatshow – the cunningly titled The Kelly Clarkson Show – has made a strong start in the ratings this week.

You all may have let Broken And Beautiful flop and roundly slept on the whole Meaning of Life era, but this show is already a hit: Deadline reports that it bowed to a 1.9 demo share; the highest for a first-run syndicated show in seven years.

In the targeted demo of women aged 25-54, Our Kel averaged a 0.8 rating, a 100% improvement against the equivalent slot in September 2018. Now I don’t fully understand ANY OF THIS but 100% sounds like a nice big number, does it not?

That first episode featured Dwayne Johnson as the star guest, while John Legend was on yesterday and Jennifer Garner is on today (Wednesday).

Kelly is also doing karaoke (sorry, KELLYOKE) as part of the show’s format, and has so far done Bad Romance by Lady Gaga and Sucker by the Jonas Brothers. GAY RIGHTS!

A new album soon would just be the *chef’s kiss* cherry on top of all this success.
