The two bonus tracks from Taylor Swift‘s Evermore are finally on the world wide web.
The songs – Right Where You Left Me and It’s Time To Go (all stylised into lower-case, of course) – were initially only available on physical editions of the album, which dropped as a surprise release in mid-December.
Both were written by Taylor with Aaron Dessner, and produced by the latter. And both are… very good! I much prefer them to The Lakes, the bonus song from Folklore. They both also lean into the more country-influenced side of the whole Folklore/Evermore ~project, which isn’t altogether unwelcome.
This release may actually help nudge Evermore over the line in this week’s UK album chart: in yesterday’s midweek flash, the album was a tiny hairline in front of Little Mix’s Confetti and Harry Styles’ Fine Line, but this deluxe edition’s arrival on streaming services might give it the nudge it needs to secure victory.
