BloodPop – fresh from working on Lady Gaga’s excitement-restoring Chromatica – has now been enlisted to twiddle the knobs on Rina Sawayama‘s new banger LUCID; out now.
With the excellent Lauren Aquilinia co-writing, it’s quite the exquisitely gay little song, and it’s apparently been sitting in Rina’s back pocket for nearly three years.
She told Apple Music: “Lucid is about living a different life through dreaming, whether it’s to be with the dream girl or to be the dream girl.
“Me and Lauren Aquilina wrote this together on the floor of my tiny rented living room in early 2018. BloodPop sent us the beat and the melody flowed out so easily that at one point I started hoovering because I knew it would be easy to write!”
It lands ahead of a deluxe re-release of her incredible album SAWAYAMA, which follows on December 4.
