Katy Perry’s new single Small Talk is imminent; includes a nod to sliced bread

Katy Perry is releasing her new single Small Talk in MERE DAYS.

The track is believed to be landing on Friday (August 9) as the follow-up to Never Really Over, which for some bullshit reason failed to crack the Top 10 on either side of the Atlantic.

Lyrics to the new one have been shared on The Socials and include:

Isn’t it weird
That you’ve seen me naked
We had conversations about forever
Now it’s about the weather okay
Isn’t it wild
That I know your weakness
And everybody at the party thinks
That you’re the best since sliced bread
I just can’t believe
We went from strangers to lovers to
Strangers in a lifetime

Charlie Puth is involved as a co-writer; which would usually fill me with sheer dread but after the Voicenotes era turned out to be a bit of alright, I’m tentatively on board.

Katy, remember, has also recently spoken about a track called Harleys In Hawaii, for which a video was thought to have been shot; so who the hell knows what’s happening with that one.
