Anne-Marie heading for new chart PB as lead artist

It’s looking like Anne-Marie could score her best chart position as a lead artist this week.

After her releases last year all somewhat failed to make too much of a dent, her new track Don’t Play is doing muuuuch better.

The Official Charts Company’s First Look projects a No2 entry for the song, behind only the unstoppable Olivia Rodrigo and Drivers License.

Don’t Play features Digital Farm Animals and KSI; and, if it holds, it’ll outpace the No3 peak achieved by 2002 back in 2018.

Of course Anne-Marie has been to No1 a few times as a featured artist or charity ensemble member: on Clean Bandit‘s Rockabye in 2016, Bridge Over Troubled Water with Artists For Grenfell in 2017, and Times Like These with the Live Lounge Allstars last spring.

Also on this week’s chart, the new remix of 34+35 by Ariana Grande is expected to send it shooting back up to No3, while No Time For Tears by Nathan Dawe and Little Mix is currently in 15th place.
