Girls Aloud stans, rise up!!
There’s a plan in motion for as many people as possible to purchase the album track Hear Me Out – on which Sarah Harding sings lead, and which she also co-wrote – on Thursday (March 18).
It will coincide with the release of her autobiography of the same name, and is designed to be a massive show of support for the ill star, who is battling advanced cancer.
On the day, you’ll be able to buy it here.
According to Digital Sales Data, it’s estimated that just over 500 copies would be needed right now to overthrow Nathan Evans’ sea shanty at the top of the iTunes chart. More than 100 sales should send it into the Top 10.
Hear Me Out was a song on What Will The Neighbours Say?, Girls Aloud’s second album – and the record that began changing their perception within the industry from talent show flash-in-the-pans to boundary-pushing pop behemoths.
Their 20th anniversary is coming up in 2022, but Nadine said last week that all energy is currently focussed on Sarah rather than any potential reunion talk.
