THAT’S RIGHT!!!!
After inspiring a long-overdue rule change, Rina Sawayama has been nominated for the Rising Star prize at this year’s BRITs.
She faces the also excellent Griff and Pa Salieu; and one of them will follow in the footsteps of artists like Celeste, Adele, Sam Smith, Florence and the Machine and Ellie Goulding in scooping what is effectively the ‘one to watch’ award.
The BRITs are taking place on May 11 this year, with other categories’ nominees still to come.
