Nadine is ‘sure’ Girls Aloud will mark their 20th anniversary ‘if it feels right’

Late 2022 will mark 20 years since Girls Aloud were put together by public vote on Popstars: The Rivals, and now Nadine Coyle has been asked about the possibility of a reunion to celebrate the anniversary in some way.

It’s already been eight years since they split for good; releasing the world’s least iconic TwitLonger once the Ten Tour wrapped up in March 2013.

Now, speculation around their big 2-0 has been mounting; and Nadine told HELLO! mag: “I’m excited about the anniversary. If it feels right, I’m sure we’ll make something happen.”

Nice and broad, but it definitely sounds more like a ‘maybe’ than a veiled ‘no’, right?

Of course, infinitely more important than any reunion is Sarah Harding’s health: she announced last year that she’s fighting breast cancer, which had spread to other parts of her body. Her autobiography Hear Me Out is on its way in a few weeks (March 18).

“It’s made me realise how much I’ve put things off and taken for granted. I’ll never do that again,” Nadine added.

“Sarah’s always in my prayers. I’m sending her all the positivity I can.

“We had so much fun in Girls Aloud. Many of the stories of our wild times together are in her book.”

In terms of other members’ upcoming plans, Nadine will soon be on Stand Up To Cancer’s Great British Bake Off specials; and Cheryl is slated to headline Mighty Hoopla if it goes ahead in September.
