UPDATE: I can’t really be doing with rewording the entire below article but long story short, Michelle Visage is being added to Steps’ Heartbreak In This City for their next single release.

Steps are poised to release a single that will be a collaboration of some sort, it’s been revealed… and the trusty Gays Of The Internet seem to have solved who it could be with.

The legendary quintet released their latest studio album What The Future Holds to mostly positive reviews late last year; so far spawning the singles Something In Your Eyes and To The Beat Of My Heart, as well as the title track.

Now, it seems that they’ll be joining forces with another artist for their next release, with BMG UK boss Alistair Norbury telling Music Week (via Official Charts): “The Steps campaign carries on all year until their hoped-for shows at the end of 2021.

“There’s more repertoire, there’s a very exciting feature track coming imminently.”

So who could it be? WELL, SINCE YOU ASKED – a major clue has been spotted on YouTube, and it may well be… Michelle Visage. I wasn’t expecting it, but I’m very much for it.

This ties-up with the previous signs that Heartbreak In This City was poised for the full single treatment, but an official confirmation has yet to be made. (Worth noting though, that the previous YouTube audio video for the song has now been removed).

In any case, I’m a big fan of Alistair’s use of “more repertoire” as an alternative for “songs”; and I’m also a big fan of the concept of Michelle Visage being on a single in the year 2021.
