Rebecca Ferguson’s about to release a new single with Nile Rodgers

Rebecca Ferguson is putting out a new single in the extremely near future.

The God-tier X Factor alum will later this year roll in the tenth (TENTH!!!!!) anniversary of her incredible debut album Heaven; and in the meantime we’re finally about to hear more of the work she did with Nile Rodgers.

Following the release of Nothing Left But Family in 2020, the new tune – No Words Needed – has been announced, and can be pre-saved on Spotify now.

Replying to this very post on Twitter (blessed! by! royalty!) she teased: “I can’t wait for you all to hear it, it’s less Nothings real but love, and a bit more let’s get it on”.

There’s no release date just yet, but presumably it’s not too far away at all.

Last year, she told Metro of her rapport with veteran hitmaker Rodgers: “I feel very lucky that I got to work with him and it feels like a new chapter in my career.

“He’s very easy to work with, he’s so nice. He’s a proper star, you go in the studio and he dresses like a star.”

Rebecca’s last album, the severely under-rated Superwoman, came out in 2016. All four of her LPs so far have charted in the UK Top 10.

I hope (I hope, I hope, I hope, I hope, I hope) a full new record is en route soon.
