React was one of the big defining homobangers of 2020, and it seems The Pussycat Dolls will be following through with more new music in the near future.
The reformed five-piece were supposed to be embarking on a massive arena tour last April; which was then postponed to October before being postponed again to this coming spring/summer. We can probably expect those dates to be nudged back in due course too.
But Ashley Roberts has confirmed that, whatever happens, the goal is to have more new music at the ready for whenever those shows do happen.
“We’ve got time and we want to get people ramped up and excited again before we go out on tour,” she told the Heart Showbiz Hub podcast (via Official Charts). “Which, who knows when that will be.
“It has to be a time when everyone can be in a stadium and be safe and healthy.
“In the meantime, we’re going to keep the music flowing.”
React may not look like it was that big a hit – stalling at the lower end of the UK Top 30 – but, for a legacy act, I think we can chalk that up as a massive win in this day and age. Especially as it lingered in the Top 100 for an impressive 12 weeks overall.
As long as any new music is choreo-heavy, I’m in.
