Upcoming music by Lizzo seems like it’ll be worth the wait.

The star – who was truly THE phenomenon of 2019 – has been busy cooking up the sequel to the Cuz I Love You album, and SZA reckons it’s sounding extremely good.

She tweeted yesterday: “Lizzo really jus played me the best song I ever heard in my life I’m crying lmao like really”.

(Well, I mean I’m assuming Lizzo played her a new Lizzo song; and not Stuck by Stacie Orrico or something like that).

You’ll probably remember it was actually songs from before the CILY album that really hit big for Lizzo two years ago; Truth Hurts and Good As Hell both becoming enormous smash hits waaaaay after their initial releases. So maybe when she puts out her newest work, something like Soulmate will finally get its moment?!

Oh, and while we’re here, SZA’s new song is quite rightly gaining some very impressive momentum. Good Days came out on Christmas Day, so too late for the year-end lists and too early to be spotted on the first raft of 2021 stuff, but it’s reaaaaally worth getting into, if you’re not on top of it already. I’ve belatedly added it to my rolling playlist of the year.
