A couple of years on from the excellent Head Above Water era, Avril Lavigne is back this week – featuring on a new single.

She appears on Flames, the new one from MOD SUN, and it’s out this Friday. If the below promo pic is anything to go by, you can expect something extremely CoLoUrFuL.

Av and MOD have been seen in multiple studio ~snaps recently while the former works on her new album, so this duet won’t be a massive shock to stans – especially as she’d previously promised a “fun surprise” coming in early January. Well, here we are!

Head Above Water, which was album No6 for the pop-rock queen, came out in February 2019; hitting the Top 5 in Canada and scraping into the Top 10 over here. Last year she re-recorded one song from it, Warrior – renamed We Are Warriors – as a pandemic charity single.
