Channel 4 has recommissioned The Circle!!!!!!!!
Last year’s run was genuinely the most obsessed I’ve been with a reality show since the Big Brother glory days, but there had been fears that it would be – as they say – axed; especially given, y’know, the pandemic.
However! It’s definitely returning, with Emma Willis hosting and Sophie Willan narrating.
Production is expected to commence later in 2020 in line with COVID-19 guidelines – meaning no studio audience, no live shows, and TX in 2021.
There’s also a week-long CELEBRITY VERSION(!) en route, in aid of Stand Up To Cancer. That will air in early 2021 – before the main series.

Kelly Webb-Lamb, Channel 4’s Deputy Director of Programmes and Head of Popular Factual, said in a media release (via Televisual): “The Circle series two was a great success for the channel – growing year on year, with a massive young share and hugely up on slot across the run.
“It also was brilliantly and effortlessly diverse and created hundreds of jobs for freelancers in the north.
“But, most importantly it was funny, touching, compelling telly – and I’m delighted that we’re able to bring it back despite all of the challenges that this year has thrown at us.
“Expect more incredible casting, bonkers game play, drama, and tears…”
I. Can’t. Wait.
Now I regret not playing the ABSOLUTE BANGER of a theme tune on the radio show:
