I LOVE stories about different songs coming across different artists before they finally find their natural home (Nicole Scherzinger and We Found Love? Kylie and Toxic? Britney and Telephone?!) and Gwen Stefani‘s just chucked another one on the pile.

She revealed on The Voice US that Elastic Heart – one of Sia’s greatest – was first offered to her.

“This song’s crazy, because Sia sent me this song for me to do,” she told a contestant.

“But it’s very specific to her, it’s such a weird unique song.”

Gwen and Sia have worked together since: the former did backing vocals on My Heart Is Open, a song Sia wrote for Maroon 5, and they also worked on Start A War – a song that ended up being cut from Gwen’s This Is What The Truth Feels Like album.
