Look I’m not trying to be clickbaity in the ol’ headline but you never know who’s going to kick off about what spoilers these days, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

Jamie Laing dropped out of Strictly Come Dancing yesterday due to some kind of injury sustained during taping of the launch show.

It’s unclear whether or not he will be replaced, but the news does mean that his professional partner has been somewhat left hanging.

According to – as The Telegraph puts it – “an online site”, that dancer is none other than Queen of the World Oti Mabuse.

Now there are some FEELINGS to be had here: obviously Jamie could have been a contender, and it is a moral outrage that Oti has still not won a series. He might – might! – have given her a shot.

That said, people are already waiting for an excuse to accuse new judge Motsi Mabuse of some kind of sibling bias, and if Oti did have a properly good celeb, such a media storm would without question have flared up sooner rather than later. And Lord knows I would not be able to deal with Oti being on the receiving end of a tabloid smear campaign.

Still, though, it would be pretty grim to have to sit through an Oti-less season. We’ll have to wait and see if Jamie gets replaced.

(Of course another scenario is that this “leak” is bollocks and Jamie was actually partnered with someone else, but we won’t know that until tomorrow night.)
