Cats? As a movie? With popstars in the cast? Still a concept I can’t quite get my head around (you might say it’s PURRRRPLEXING), but in any case here’s a first look BTS clip ahead of a trailer release later in the week.

Taylor Swift(!) and Jason Derulo(!!!) are in the cast alongside the likes of James Corden, Idris Elba, Rebel Wilson and Jennifer Hudson, with Tom Hooper directing.

Side-bar: my only experience of Cats – both loved and loathed for its absence of story – is seeing the Nicole Scherzinger-starring version a few years ago, and WHEW she really shouldn’t have turned down the Broadway transfer of that.

The trailer’s out Friday, so hold on to your hats CATS!!!!! Right??? Anyone?
